Did BodyPump and BodyCombat. Very tiring but i enjoyed because of the instructor. The best class i enjoyed so far is Eve's class with Kelvin last week at Milenia Walk, also did back-to-back classes of Pump and Combat, she's very motivating and comical plus i think the class did all workouts in sync! So that's why i really enjoyed!

For Body Pump, 2nd time that i increased the weights to 2.5kg per side. Arms still shiver when i do the triceps and shoulder extensions but getting less and less shiong. Also the half squats are getting better and my most hate-the lunges, argh, makes my legs really burn! Actually, how much you can tahan also depends on the song, hehe thats for me la. Sometimes hearing the song, makes me wanna push myself more! So Chiong ar!!

For Body Combat, the 1st 3 songs were the usual but he completely used new songs for the rest of the time. I miss the fallout boy song where there were ginga moves, Girlfriend song by Avril and of cos the funky "Behind the cow" by Scooter.

I've been on 3 days of MC because i had my wisdom tooth taken out! The dentist took like 1 hour to drill n cut open, the drilling sounds were terrible and during it, she also tried to use this scraper equipment to break my tooth, i can even feel my tooth broke! She used so much strength that the equipment cut my side lips. But thankfully, the whole op wasn't as painful as i thought it was. Thanks to the LA, before the op began, she injected once, during the op, she injected again! At the end of the op, the dentist said this is one of the hardest op of wisdom tooth she has done! When i got home, i couldn't even eat solid food and ate like a bird, just put the food in mouth n swallow kind. Next wed, i need to go back to take out the stitches and make appt for other wisdom teeth needed to be taken out.

One more day of rest and Back to work on Monday!

Counting down to the magical day

What songs should i use for Wedding?

Maybe it's kind of early to choose what songs for the walk-in, the montage of our younger days but i'm searching for the right songs. In the meantime, Kelvin has embarked on the slideshow montage of our younger days right up till current times. He wants to personally do it and i have faith that with his creative talents, he certainly will do a great photo montage. I had sneak previews of what he has done so far and i'm impressed! It certainly adds a personal touch and brings back memories that we had!

Songs..i prefer the oldies..right now, i'm trying to find The Stylistics album. I went to Cash Converters to search but looking at the multitude of CD albums, it really puts me off looking for it. I saw PJ & Duncan albums "Eternal Love", when you're hot, you're really hot, to think that their album once reached #1 in the UK charts with their famous song titled "Eternal Love". I recalled hearing it soo many times in secondary 2 until so scared of the song, "cliche". Anyway, its soo hard to find The Stylistics album, urgh! HMV don't have. Their songs has that soul groove in it. Here are the lyrics to one of their songs titled "Sing Baby Sing"

Sing Baby sing
The world is getting better
It's somethin' else since we're together.
Let's have a ball
let's do it all and sing.
Ain't we got it made
(Sing Baby sing)
Ain't we got it made
(Sing Baby sing)

Dance Baby dance
And let the sun shine on us
There ain't a blessed thing to stop us
Let's live it up fill up the cup and dance.
Ain't we got it made
. . .

Ain't we got it made
Our love song has no end.
We're not only lovers we are friends
So cry Baby cry our Wedding bells are ringing
And while the happy choir is singin'
This girl and boy thru tears of joy will sing.
Ain't we got it made

I think can use for the Wedding right? Somewhere in the song, it mentions about wedding, choir, boy and girl, tears of joy, got it made. It's a happy, jumpy song..
Need to discuss with Kelvin.

Beijing, China 2007, loooong awaited post

I'm part of a newsletter committee for my co. and we have this part of the newsletter which features travel stories contributed by employees. So for this month, it was my turn to contribute (no one volunteered so i was thinking, might as well contribute once so they'll not ask me again). But the write-up in the newsletter was really edited and this is the full-length version.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When one thinks of visiting China for the first time, the most obvious choice would be to make a trip to historical yet modern Beijing, where one can see and experience the very reasons why China was a great country in the past, with all of its glorious splendour and colour and how the country is changing with modernity.

Who can honestly say that they are not curious about The Great Wall Of China, how it was built and declare to the whole world that they have climbed it? Who can not wonder how grand The Forbidden Palace is, its vastness and how the all powerful, gold and yellow clad Emperors lived in his lavish abode? Who can imagine the enormous distances that royalty, military and peasants alike have to clear when travelling between towns, cities, palaces, gardens, burial grounds etc? A journey to Beijing will open your eyes to how the Chinese lived and played from the times gone by till today.

I made a 6 day trip with my loved ones to China, visiting all the aforementioned places and more. What we saw and experienced really provided a rich experience that will last forever, etched in our minds. Sadly, I shall have to be selective in my recollection, albeit reluctantly, as there will be too much to write about, too many memories to reminisce and too abundantly colourful a tale to tell that can fit the size of this page. The complexity, beauty and historical information of each site are so overwhelming that I all I can share is my feelings and thoughts. Mr Google and Ms Wikipedia will be able to tell you so much more if you need in-depth information.

Our itinerary brought us to a special place each day. On the first day, we were brought to see the Summer Palace in the Northwest of Beijing, the imperial gardens where the hills, Kunming lake and the blue sky (I am sure it would had been blue if there was no haze present due to the massive pollution problem facing most of the Chinese cities) blend with the romantic flowers scattered around the pavilions, bridges, terraces, temples and corridors. My most vivid memories of this place belong to the Marble Boat and the Long Corridor, both of which are the results of artistic creativity. Artworks of ancient fables line the whole length of the Long Corridor that spans 2400 feet or about 730 metres. It was quite a good walk but due to time constraints, we were unable to cover the whole attraction. We then adjourned for a feast for the mind and the eyes, the Shaolin Kungfu Show.

-The tranquility of the river-

<ahref="http://img156.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p1000044zj7.jpg" target="_blank">
-In the morning-

The Shaolin Kungfu Show is one that no visitor to Beijing should miss, that is unless you are adverse to watching kids somersaulting on their heads, adults trying to go one up on the kids by smashing metal bars on their heads and adults trying to imitate animals by jumping, sliding and flinging themselves around (something no one should try unless you really are Shaolin trained, otherwise you may end up looking quite weird). The very same adults also take pleasure in showing us mere mortals that they have invulnerable body parts that are thicker than a crocodile’s skin. Blades? Knives? Poles? Our fears, their toys. I rest my case. The beauty about this show is that it manages to blend martial arts, ballet and a tight reasonable story together. You will not be bored!

-Inside the theatre waiting for the show to start-

The following day, we visited the infamous Tiananmen Square. Standing on the very grounds of controversy that shook the world gave us a feeling of historical significance running through our bones. We gazed upon each and every building surrounding the square, one of which even has a Beijing Olympics 2008 countdown clock attached to it, while Chairman Mao gazed upon each and every one of us from his portrait. It was told to us that this painting was repainted every September to maintain its freshness. You can imagine the number of people shooting photographs and videos all around us in this location. People were like an army of ants all over the sprawling area! But even with such a crowd, the place didn’t feel congested because of its size. Since the Forbidden Palace was already beckoning to us in the background, we headed straight for it after taking our souvenir shots.
<ahref="http://img266.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p1000087kc4.jpg" target="_blank">
-Walking to Tiananmen Sq-

Step by step, we entered into the most glorious part of China! Hundreds of years ago, if you even wanted to see the place, you would not even had a chance to set your eyes on it. Today, it is yours to explore and understand. Wish to cast a glimpse of how Emperors and Empresses lived? Curious as to how they managed the country from the walls of the palace? Intrigued by how the Emperor manages his harem? All your questions will be answered. Rooms after rooms, gardens after gardens, each with its own significance and purposes, the Forbidden Palace will never have an equal in the world in terms of grandiosity. A treasury room also exists where authentic precious artifacts, jewelleries, adornments and decorative items can be viewed . After strolling through the palace and learning about the imperial lifestyle, we then headed for Beihai Park for a nice short little scenic walk along a beautiful lake before we ended our tour for the day and did a little bit of shopping at night.

<ahref="http://img133.imageshack.us/my.php?image=p1100745or2.jpg" target="_blank">

On the 3rd day, after a few hours drive into the country side on the north-western part of Beijing, we were all pumped up with childlike enthusiasm on what we were to see today. Scanning our eyes left and right on the rolling landscape dotted with trees and shrubs, we were all eagerly scanning for a glimpse of an ancient marvel. At the very moment when we first cast our eyes on the grey layered bricks of one of the greatest wonders of the world, we could not take our eyes away from them. Snaking through the scenic landscape, up and down the hills and mountains, we gazed at The Great Wall with momentous emotions. After the bus has stopped, we were all going to touch, smell and climb a piece of history! That we did with fantastic energy and relish! The excitement that everyone present, including Chinese from other parts of China and many other foreign tourists from all parts of the world, was phenomenal. Perhaps the Wall was also Great in other ways because it brought all races and cultures together on a solid foundation with a common purpose peacefully. Something all world leaders should aim for!

As with other tour packages, we were also brought to various shops selling all kinds of ‘precious’ and ‘valuable’ commodities that were to be sold to us at ‘great value’ such as jade, tea, silk, ‘lucky’ figurines, Chinese medicine and so on. Although they may seem like a waste of time, these little side ‘commission-earning’ trips for the tour guide were quite informative at times too! It all depends on how you look at it. But just remember that if it’s too good to be true, its not!

Spending 6 days of my life in Beijing was a good investment. Through my experiences, I now have a better understanding of how our Chinese ancestors toiled, worked, played and lived. Having walked the very grounds that the Emperors, Empresses, Princes, Princesses, Court Officials and common people travelled on and having witnessed the marvellous scenery scattered throughout the Central Plains, I have newfound admiration and respect for the Chinese culture. There really is so much more to discover in this huge country and you can be sure that I will continue to visit China in the future. There just is no other place like China in the world!

-----------------------------------END----------------------------------------------------
We did actually visit Chengde too. Its about 4-5 hours ride from Beijing. The guide told us in ancient times, the Emperor goes to Chengde for his hunting trips and to hide away from the bitter cold weather in Beijing during winter time.

There are sooo many pictures..I will post them up in my next post. I'm gonna get some sleep and its such a rare time to be at my home on a Sunday afternoon. Usually, when Kelvin is out of town, i will run back home and slack. So damm sian, tomorrow is a start of a new work week again! Urgh!!

Long Tresses no more!

I did the unexpected! i chopped off my bra length hair and now its slightly above shoulder! I recalled it was way back in secondary school that i last sported this length! I went to Heatwave Salon at Marina Sq to cut, hairdresser was Wini, I told her i was sick of my long hair and that maybe in 2 months time i will rebond again. She suggested that i cut short and that it would suit me. I was kinda skeptical but i thought oh well just give it a try! hehe, it turned out quite ok actually! My colleagues said it was a refreshing look and i look younger! haha! But Kelvin still prefers me with long hair though...

But i think i better not cut my hair liao so as to let the hair grow longer for the wedding next year. Oh yea, the date has been fixed and its 8 March 2008 (Saturday). So keep it free! The exchange of vows will be at St Vincent De Paul Church at 11am, Priest is Father Michael Sitaram. The banquet venue would very likely be Swissotel the Stamford (Stamford Ballroom).

Last week, me and Kelvin went to meet up with Swissotel and he showed us the Ballroom and it was decorated beautifully as there was a wedding dinner that night. It was really pretty. Next, we went to the 65th floor bridal suite and OMG, the view is amazing! the Singapore river skyline..wow! the room was also very pretty!! The 65th floor also had a gym and a lounge where finger food is served all day. The bed also looked very cozy and i was really impressed! Gonna fix an appointment to confirm and pay deposit liao! haha!

Gonna go Beijing on 9 Apr for a holiday with Kelvin and his parents. It will be a one week tour and will visit Chengde and Tianjin. Can't wait to climb the Great Wall! Now i'm looking around for thick jackets coz in Apr the weather there will be chilly. I saw a jacket at Mango and its $99! Thinking twice liao since this month's expenditure is super huge for me. 1st is LCD monitor - $369, Panasonic FX30 - $470 and Longchamp bag $195. Must control!

Alright hope this week past fast. ISO Audit this week. Eeks. Hope it goes well.

Blue Blue Monday

Back to the 5 day working week again. It was this tuesday that i got the results back and THANK GOD it is benign..it was a real scare for me..at least i can enjoy my holiday now without worrying at the back of my mind abt the lump. The lump now has gone down, but the doctor says it'll come back again..next doctor's visit is 6 months time..

"Why do some people take it for granted that their parents will do everything for them?" Another dish was this chicken stewer, cuts of BBQ chicken meat served on a hanging skewer..interesting!! Once a while, must pamper myself but the pockets get burnt! Oh Well!

Unfortunate experiences on the bus

Yesterday, i took bus 70 home from YCK mrt. While in the 70 bus queue, there was this super super fat guy queuing in front of me and he looks pretty weird too. Oh well, so when the bus came, i sat at the last row of long seats at the end in the furthest corner while he sat in the centre of the seats.
Note: if given a choice i wldn't have sat near him but no choice as it was the only available one.
Okie, everything was ok as the bus started to move. But horror of horrors, he began to spread his two legs damm damm wide, blocking the sides so if people sat at the 2 corners of the bus, it would be impossible getting out and poor me was stucked there. To add on, he really stinked and seriously look disgusting, i felt like puking!! As i started at him at the corner of my eyes, he was sleeping and the image of him sleeping reminded me of one character in the Austin Powers movie ! (FAT BASTARD) See below:

I really felt like vomitting all over AGAIN! And he continued sleeping and KEEPING his legs WIDE OPEN at the same time!! In my head, i was thinking OH NO! How the hell am i going to get out of there??? I'm sooo not gonna touch him to wake him up!!
Okie, as the bus was approaching the bus stop that i was alighting, i got up, i used my bag to 'hit' him, NO RESPONSE!, hit him 2nd time, NO RESPONSE AGAIN! Hit him 3rd time with more strength, Finally he woke up and moved his legs, i quickly tip toed my way out! I was so relieved!! Eeeks! if i ever saw him again, i'm never ever going to stand near him!!

Another incident of stinking people: Today, i left work at 530pm and took 70 home again. Along the way, this auntie boarded the bus and as she walked nearer to me, she really smelled very fishy LITERALLY, i really felt vomitting and i was holding my breath at the same time! I was suffocated!! Thankfully, she soon moved to a seat diagonally behind me, i really pity the person sitting next to her, how can TAHAN!!! Haiz, why i always meet smelly people!!

Heh today was the earliest i've reached home since i dunno when! Reached home at 630pm! hehe! Slept just now and got up not too long again! Weird sleeping pattern i have!!

He is coming back soon, i can't wait. BUT i have my driving test next friday!
Wish me luck!!

Spring cleaning in Office

I spent the later part of the afternoon after lunch spring-cleaning my workstation.
There's this cupboard next to me filled with files, old old files and papers - some were really yellow.
I went through it, took out the entire pile and cleaned the whole cupboard with wet tissues!
I'm a clean freak!
I asked my colleagues if i can take out some of the 'not useful' ones and keep it one side. They all said it has been there since dunno when, so might as well just leave it there. Wah!!!
Well, I found files dated since 1996 right up till 1999 and it belonged to my predecessor's predecessor who left the company in 2000. Dunno why she still keep this stuff ley and some files had like a few sheets of paper inside and were dated 2000.
Heck!!I went through all 4 levels and took out majority of the files and put it in the filing room. She really has alot of junk!! I found a wedding card addressed to her, a PC cert which belonged to her and expired packets of "liang cha". I was sneezing while going through, imagine all the dust!! Eeeeks!!
The end result - only 30% of the stuff remained and the cupboard once again look much more organised and most importantly free from dust!!
Now i can work so much better!

Day trip to JB

Met the gals (C & S) for a short shopping trip in JB.
As C went back to JB on friday, we met her at the mobil station after clearing the customs.
Met S at Kranji mrt first after which, we went to take the yellow bus to the Causeway.
No queues at the bus stop (it must be a good time i thought)
Until when we reached the JB customs, there was a super super queue.
Haiz, i hate queueing, there were so many lines, i couldn't even tell which one leads to the counter. Oh well, we just queued up at one of the lines, while in the queue, i had updates from her about ST, haha loads of laugher hearing all the crappy happenings, updates on those quirky, shady, weirdo characters, had a good time laughing while in the queue.
As we were nearing the counter, we saw that two queues became one queue. expected (bo pian).
Cleared the customs and we went to wait for C & her mum at mobil station, we then went to city square. Went to makan at the food court at the highest floor of the shopping centre. I had yummy fresh yong tau foo! Had more updates and laughter during the meal!
We then went to Padini to look at the shoes. Bought a pair as most of the designs were the same ones i saw in Genting two weeks earlier. S bought the same pair but in different colour *sweet pink* mine is *gloomy black*.
We then proceeded to the boutique at the 3rd floor where the two gals tried skirts while i waited. Nothing catches my eye. i'm in a saving mood.

Well, i thought i was the ultimate one who is super indecisive. I found out that S beat me hands down *superb*. Amazingly, she tried on and took off 4 jackets, i dunno exactly how many times but i estimated at least 6 times per jacket! Luckily, she finally bought 1 pair as we spend quite some time in the shop...

More window-shopping. Had dinner and then went home.

Really great catching up with you girls. It's boring at my workplace. Usually, i'm looking serious and trying to keep myself awake. Haha. Although life is much better here, i'm missing the great company of the girls. Sigh. Till we meet again soon!!

I'm counting down the days....

==========================================================
NATALIE IMBRUGLIA - "Counting Down The Days"

You were right
And I don't wanna be here
If your gonna be there
Was that supposed to happen

I'll hold tight
I'll remember to smile
Though it has been a while
And without you does it matter

There's no room
No place to start
When our souls are apart

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
Hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here
I'm counting down the days

How've you been
It's just the usual here
And days are feeling like years
And every day's without you

Now I cry
Just a little too much
When I think of your touch
And everything about you

I feel cold
I'm in the dark
When our souls are apart

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
Hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
Hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here
I'm counting down the days

I'm counting down the days
I'm counting down the days

I'm gonna be your surprise
I'm gonna hold you so tight

Yeah

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
I'd hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
I'd hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here
A million miles away from here

I'm counting down the days when you'll be back in SG once again. Bright and early on a Friday morning.
Met the HR personnel and we went into the meeting room where she has a checklist of things for me to fill up and to brief. I lost count of the number of times i had to write my name and IC No. Really so many forms. I think around 7 times?

She then brought me to the dept where i was gonna be.
Met with the director who brought me around the various departments and introduced me to the colleagues.
At that instance, my mind drifted to the all familiar scenario in ST where i was also brought around the company on my first day too.

Well, during those introductions, i remember faces and vaguely remember their names. Oh well, just gimme time and i soon will. One thing that struck me as i was going around was that majority of them were all middle-aged in their 40s and 50s.
(Later on, i was told that most of them stayed for 20+ years.)

I was then brought to my workstation.
My workstation tucked away in a corner with a LCD monitor, my own printer, and Best of it all- PRIVACY. *Bliss*
I then looked through the files on Budget, the in-house newsletter, annual report. So much to digest.

Indeed working in the govt sector and private sector is so different. Systematic workflow. Lotsa meetings. Distinguishing traces of the various postions which was apparant in the type of office furniture given and the dividers between workstations.

Lunch was alright. Of course there are many other reasons why a person would resign. It ranges from the predictable "My work is boring", "I do not get along with my boss" and to the hilariously ridiculous "I do not like the carpet floor colour".

Seriously, for me: The single most encompassing reason of all reasons is that I've found a job that is nearer to my house!

I stay at Yio Chu Kang and my workplace is in Boon Lay.
Every morning, i'm sitting in the train for 50mins, not forgetting i have to change at Jurong East to the West Line. I wake up at 6.40am everyday, leave my house at 7.05am as Dad fetches me to Ang Mo Kio Mrt (Thankfully for that) and i only reach Boon Lay at 8.10am. The company van arrives at 8.25am and i only reach office at 8.40am! Official working hours start at 8.30am.
I wake up so early in the morning and yet i'm still late *bleah*

The new workplace will be at Somerset. 7 train stops from Ang Mo Kio MRT.
The train will definately be crowded since it's headed to town so i have to stand and also squeeze with the morning crowd unlike currently, i will get a confirmed seat if i head to the opposite direction. But...... most probably, my parents will drop me off at Somerset MRT since their working place is at Lau Pa Sat area. So yippie!! i save on transport and time :)

Yes, there are also other reasons: MORE PAY, MORE ANNUAL LEAVE, 5 DAY WEEK, CONFIRMED BONUSES, MORE FRINGE BENEFITS and... I get MY SANITY back!!

4 more days to regain my long lost sanity back.
I can't wait..really...

AGM Madness!

It was the coy's AGM last friday and boy it was an interesting experience..LOL

Firstly, let me relate to you this interesting shareholder. He asked me for directions to the toilet and i showed him the way. Next, he asked me if we have Business Times newspaper. Lol!
Huh!!! AGM's going to start anytime soon and he still wants to do big business and still have time to read newspaper in the toilet!! Funny man!!
I went to find for the Business Times but it was not available. Poor man, no newspaper to 'entertain' himself while doing big business! :P

Well...saw some really KS shareholders who came to the AGM for the Food!! they even admitted it themselves and it was the same as for their behaviours during the buffet.

My colleague who was ushering them to their seats told me that this woman sat right at the last row of chairs near to the exit of the door. She went up to the lady and suggested to her that it would be better for her to move up to the unoccupied front rows where she can see the screen better, guess what's her reply!! hahaha. The lady said: " I prefer to sit in the last row in case that..(she mumbles something) gets to the buffet first!" I think she was trying to refer to another fellow shareholder who was just as KS as her! and oh yes! her dressing was so out of the world!! my god!! when i saw her, i was trying to control myself. She wore this sarong dress thing right till her heels and to top the dress off, she had this necklace made of those balls..those styrofoam balls that had little green wiggles material thingy on them! i think each ball on the necklace had a diameter of 5cm! it was truely hilarious!! Even the director asked her: Wouldn't the balls tickle her!! hahaha

After the resolutions were passed, the AGM came to an end. Next was the buffet.

Yum yum. it was catered from Peach Garden Restaurant. They serve really good food! Trust Me! There were siew mais, steamed dumplings, ee-fu noodles, prawn paste chicken, custard steamed buns, XO carrot cake!!

I saw the KS and greedy side of the shareholders. One of them (a old uncle) walked to the pantry and took those empty plastic containers and began to tapao food! He automatically walked and got the containers himself! wah! then that same lady did the same. My another colleague told me this is the Culture - Shareholders tapao food after the AGM!
I'm thinking what if its shark fins, abalones etc! but its only tim sum and they already so "gian", seriously, i rest my case.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they thought, since they invested in the company shares, they have the right to tapao as in a way they also 'paid' for the buffet with the investment. Oh well...

The coy was kind enought to give some goodie bags to them as they were leaving.
Inside the goodie bag - corporate gift (tyre radio), Food (soon kueh, bee kueh and otak)
I was giving out the goodie bags to them as they were leaving.
As one of the shareholders walked down the stairs, he asked me" Are you D's daughter?" I almost fainted and i sheepishly said: No...
( Do i really look like her? Pls! ) - D is the first alphabet of the lady boss's name.

Thankfully, the AGM went A-OK, my very last project for the company.
My job here is done.
The next week will be my last week with the company.
In the meantime, I'll take it easy as i await for my colleague to come back from leave to take over the job.

Funny

Haha...a funny phone coversation..

Me: Hello?
XXX: Can?
"I heard Can as Ken (colleague) so i transferred the phone line to his extension"
Phone ringing again..
Me: Hello?
XXX: Miss Chan, you're trying to be funny is it?
Me: Huh? *thinks*, oh its you!
*OMG! as if i can recognise your voice, not like machiam you call me everyday!!*

Oh well, counting down the days when i leave ST. Well..at first we didn't know there was gonna to be a sale and were there coz Karen wanted a gym bag. Oh well, we were admiring the sweet pink bag on display and contemplating whether to purchase a not..it was $59.90.. There was this nice lady who also had taken a liking to the pink bag and she promptly told us there was a members sale this evening.

The word "SALE" really brightened us up..
It was around 4pm and it was 3.5hrs more to the sale, so we decided to hang around the store to see if there are anymore items to buy.
S'poreans are really a kiasu lot. At the cashier counter, i saw piles of clothes being folded into those transparent plastic bags and labelled. Later on, i was told that it was the items that people had reserved and they were going to pay for it at 7.30pm.

We thought hey, we might as well follow them, how can we lose out right????
Karen went to a clothes frenzy, trying on here and there, while me i was thinking if i should get the white slippers (UP: $79.90), sale was less 20%.

In the end, what the Heck! just reserve and think about it later.
We left the store at around 5.30pm and walked to Paragon where we had some coffee.

Later at 6.55pm, Karen's friend called and said there was a long queue outside Wheellock. (They had earlier arranged to meet after the sale). Gosh, we immediately rushed there.
When we reached, the queue was snaking till Wheellock.

At 7.30pm, the store opened and people in the queue were allowed to go in by groups.
When it came to our turn, we rushed to the counter to find our reserved items and there were many people around us, also looking for their items. Luckily, our items were easily spotted and we rushed to the cashier to pay for them.

My damage was erm...$113?

BTW, i bought the slippers with a matching clutch..
here's a pic :

Cute right? haha!

A happy day... =)

Of strawberries

Althought i do not fancy eating strawberries, but i really do love to put them on my face (not literally that is!!).
