Mad Esprit Sale
I was at the Esprit members' sale last weekend at the Liat Towers branch courtesy of Karen who is an Esprit member. Well..at first we didn't know there was gonna to be a sale and were there coz Karen wanted a gym bag. Oh well, we were admiring the sweet pink bag on display and contemplating whether to purchase a not..it was $59.90.. There was this nice lady who also had taken a liking to the pink bag and she promptly told us there was a members sale this evening.
The word "SALE" really brightened us up..
It was around 4pm and it was 3.5hrs more to the sale, so we decided to hang around the store to see if there are anymore items to buy.
S'poreans are really a kiasu lot. At the cashier counter, i saw piles of clothes being folded into those transparent plastic bags and labelled. Later on, i was told that it was the items that people had reserved and they were going to pay for it at 7.30pm.
We thought hey, we might as well follow them, how can we lose out right????
Karen went to a clothes frenzy, trying on here and there, while me i was thinking if i should get the white slippers (UP: $79.90), sale was less 20%.
In the end, what the Heck! just reserve and think about it later.
We left the store at around 5.30pm and walked to Paragon where we had some coffee.
Later at 6.55pm, Karen's friend called and said there was a long queue outside Wheellock. (They had earlier arranged to meet after the sale). Gosh, we immediately rushed there.
When we reached, the queue was snaking till Wheellock.
At 7.30pm, the store opened and people in the queue were allowed to go in by groups.
When it came to our turn, we rushed to the counter to find our reserved items and there were many people around us, also looking for their items. Luckily, our items were easily spotted and we rushed to the cashier to pay for them.
My damage was erm...$113?
BTW, i bought the slippers with a matching clutch..
here's a pic :
Cute right? haha!
A happy day... =)
