The Siam-er lurks again

Sickening Siam-er aka fellow colleague is getting on my nerves AGAIN.
She spoiled my evening gathering dinner with my colleagues as i had to stay back.
A simple bloody thing which she could do it on her pc but in the end i had to do it since i was the last person who knew how to use the system(the other colleague left the company).
Bloody Hell! I taught her before and she conveniently forgotten how to do it and it is within her job scope.
Makes me wonder what does she does all day!!
A total BITCH i have to say.
Work alongside with her and you'll experience it and i'm not first one who said so.

The real reason of me quitting is......

Today, a fellow colleague asked me the all too familiar question that everyone has been asking me since a month ago: Why did you quit?

Me: i found a job that is nearer to my house
Him: That is a lousy excuse, are you sure??

What can i say! Of course there are many other reasons why a person would resign. It ranges from the predictable "My work is boring", "I do not get along with my boss" and to the hilariously ridiculous "I do not like the carpet floor colour".

Seriously, for me: The single most encompassing reason of all reasons is that I've found a job that is nearer to my house!

I stay at Yio Chu Kang and my workplace is in Boon Lay.
Every morning, i'm sitting in the train for 50mins, not forgetting i have to change at Jurong East to the West Line. I wake up at 6.40am everyday, leave my house at 7.05am as Dad fetches me to Ang Mo Kio Mrt (Thankfully for that) and i only reach Boon Lay at 8.10am. The company van arrives at 8.25am and i only reach office at 8.40am! Official working hours start at 8.30am.
I wake up so early in the morning and yet i'm still late *bleah*

The new workplace will be at Somerset. 7 train stops from Ang Mo Kio MRT.
The train will definately be crowded since it's headed to town so i have to stand and also squeeze with the morning crowd unlike currently, i will get a confirmed seat if i head to the opposite direction. But...... most probably, my parents will drop me off at Somerset MRT since their working place is at Lau Pa Sat area. So yippie!! i save on transport and time :)

Yes, there are also other reasons: MORE PAY, MORE ANNUAL LEAVE, 5 DAY WEEK, CONFIRMED BONUSES, MORE FRINGE BENEFITS and... I get MY SANITY back!!

4 more days to regain my long lost sanity back.
I can't wait..really...

AGM Madness!

It was the coy's AGM last friday and boy it was an interesting experience..LOL

Firstly, let me relate to you this interesting shareholder. He asked me for directions to the toilet and i showed him the way. Next, he asked me if we have Business Times newspaper. Lol!
Huh!!! AGM's going to start anytime soon and he still wants to do big business and still have time to read newspaper in the toilet!! Funny man!!
I went to find for the Business Times but it was not available. Poor man, no newspaper to 'entertain' himself while doing big business! :P

Well...saw some really KS shareholders who came to the AGM for the Food!! they even admitted it themselves and it was the same as for their behaviours during the buffet.

My colleague who was ushering them to their seats told me that this woman sat right at the last row of chairs near to the exit of the door. She went up to the lady and suggested to her that it would be better for her to move up to the unoccupied front rows where she can see the screen better, guess what's her reply!! hahaha. The lady said: " I prefer to sit in the last row in case that..(she mumbles something) gets to the buffet first!" I think she was trying to refer to another fellow shareholder who was just as KS as her! and oh yes! her dressing was so out of the world!! my god!! when i saw her, i was trying to control myself. She wore this sarong dress thing right till her heels and to top the dress off, she had this necklace made of those balls..those styrofoam balls that had little green wiggles material thingy on them! i think each ball on the necklace had a diameter of 5cm! it was truely hilarious!! Even the director asked her: Wouldn't the balls tickle her!! hahaha

After the resolutions were passed, the AGM came to an end. Next was the buffet.

Yum yum. it was catered from Peach Garden Restaurant. They serve really good food! Trust Me! There were siew mais, steamed dumplings, ee-fu noodles, prawn paste chicken, custard steamed buns, XO carrot cake!!

I saw the KS and greedy side of the shareholders. One of them (a old uncle) walked to the pantry and took those empty plastic containers and began to tapao food! He automatically walked and got the containers himself! wah! then that same lady did the same. My another colleague told me this is the Culture - Shareholders tapao food after the AGM!
I'm thinking what if its shark fins, abalones etc! but its only tim sum and they already so "gian", seriously, i rest my case.
Giving them the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they thought, since they invested in the company shares, they have the right to tapao as in a way they also 'paid' for the buffet with the investment. Oh well...

The coy was kind enought to give some goodie bags to them as they were leaving.
Inside the goodie bag - corporate gift (tyre radio), Food (soon kueh, bee kueh and otak)
I was giving out the goodie bags to them as they were leaving.
As one of the shareholders walked down the stairs, he asked me" Are you D's daughter?" I almost fainted and i sheepishly said: No...
( Do i really look like her? Pls! ) - D is the first alphabet of the lady boss's name.

Thankfully, the AGM went A-OK, my very last project for the company.
My job here is done.
The next week will be my last week with the company.
In the meantime, I'll take it easy as i await for my colleague to come back from leave to take over the job.
