Unfortunate experiences on the bus

Yesterday, i took bus 70 home from YCK mrt. While in the 70 bus queue, there was this super super fat guy queuing in front of me and he looks pretty weird too. Oh well, so when the bus came, i sat at the last row of long seats at the end in the furthest corner while he sat in the centre of the seats.
Note: if given a choice i wldn't have sat near him but no choice as it was the only available one.
Okie, everything was ok as the bus started to move. But horror of horrors, he began to spread his two legs damm damm wide, blocking the sides so if people sat at the 2 corners of the bus, it would be impossible getting out and poor me was stucked there. To add on, he really stinked and seriously look disgusting, i felt like puking!! As i started at him at the corner of my eyes, he was sleeping and the image of him sleeping reminded me of one character in the Austin Powers movie ! (FAT BASTARD) See below:

I really felt like vomitting all over AGAIN! And he continued sleeping and KEEPING his legs WIDE OPEN at the same time!! In my head, i was thinking OH NO! How the hell am i going to get out of there??? I'm sooo not gonna touch him to wake him up!!
Okie, as the bus was approaching the bus stop that i was alighting, i got up, i used my bag to 'hit' him, NO RESPONSE!, hit him 2nd time, NO RESPONSE AGAIN! Hit him 3rd time with more strength, Finally he woke up and moved his legs, i quickly tip toed my way out! I was so relieved!! Eeeks! if i ever saw him again, i'm never ever going to stand near him!!

Another incident of stinking people: Today, i left work at 530pm and took 70 home again. Along the way, this auntie boarded the bus and as she walked nearer to me, she really smelled very fishy LITERALLY, i really felt vomitting and i was holding my breath at the same time! I was suffocated!! Thankfully, she soon moved to a seat diagonally behind me, i really pity the person sitting next to her, how can TAHAN!!! Haiz, why i always meet smelly people!!

Heh today was the earliest i've reached home since i dunno when! Reached home at 630pm! hehe! Slept just now and got up not too long again! Weird sleeping pattern i have!!

He is coming back soon, i can't wait. BUT i have my driving test next friday!
Wish me luck!!

Spring cleaning in Office

I spent the later part of the afternoon after lunch spring-cleaning my workstation.
There's this cupboard next to me filled with files, old old files and papers - some were really yellow.
I went through it, took out the entire pile and cleaned the whole cupboard with wet tissues!
I'm a clean freak!
I asked my colleagues if i can take out some of the 'not useful' ones and keep it one side. They all said it has been there since dunno when, so might as well just leave it there. Wah!!!
Well, I found files dated since 1996 right up till 1999 and it belonged to my predecessor's predecessor who left the company in 2000. Dunno why she still keep this stuff ley and some files had like a few sheets of paper inside and were dated 2000.
Heck!!I went through all 4 levels and took out majority of the files and put it in the filing room. She really has alot of junk!! I found a wedding card addressed to her, a PC cert which belonged to her and expired packets of "liang cha". I was sneezing while going through, imagine all the dust!! Eeeeks!!
The end result - only 30% of the stuff remained and the cupboard once again look much more organised and most importantly free from dust!!
Now i can work so much better!

Day trip to JB

Met the gals (C & S) for a short shopping trip in JB.
As C went back to JB on friday, we met her at the mobil station after clearing the customs.
Met S at Kranji mrt first after which, we went to take the yellow bus to the Causeway.
No queues at the bus stop (it must be a good time i thought)
Until when we reached the JB customs, there was a super super queue.
Haiz, i hate queueing, there were so many lines, i couldn't even tell which one leads to the counter. Oh well, we just queued up at one of the lines, while in the queue, i had updates from her about ST, haha loads of laugher hearing all the crappy happenings, updates on those quirky, shady, weirdo characters, had a good time laughing while in the queue.
As we were nearing the counter, we saw that two queues became one queue. expected (bo pian).
Cleared the customs and we went to wait for C & her mum at mobil station, we then went to city square. Went to makan at the food court at the highest floor of the shopping centre. I had yummy fresh yong tau foo! Had more updates and laughter during the meal!
We then went to Padini to look at the shoes. Bought a pair as most of the designs were the same ones i saw in Genting two weeks earlier. S bought the same pair but in different colour *sweet pink* mine is *gloomy black*.
We then proceeded to the boutique at the 3rd floor where the two gals tried skirts while i waited. Nothing catches my eye. i'm in a saving mood.

Well, i thought i was the ultimate one who is super indecisive. I found out that S beat me hands down *superb*. Amazingly, she tried on and took off 4 jackets, i dunno exactly how many times but i estimated at least 6 times per jacket! Luckily, she finally bought 1 pair as we spend quite some time in the shop...

More window-shopping. Had dinner and then went home.

Really great catching up with you girls. It's boring at my workplace. Usually, i'm looking serious and trying to keep myself awake. Haha. Although life is much better here, i'm missing the great company of the girls. Sigh. Till we meet again soon!!

I'm counting down the days....

==========================================================
NATALIE IMBRUGLIA - "Counting Down The Days"

You were right
And I don't wanna be here
If your gonna be there
Was that supposed to happen

I'll hold tight
I'll remember to smile
Though it has been a while
And without you does it matter

There's no room
No place to start
When our souls are apart

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
Hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here
I'm counting down the days

How've you been
It's just the usual here
And days are feeling like years
And every day's without you

Now I cry
Just a little too much
When I think of your touch
And everything about you

I feel cold
I'm in the dark
When our souls are apart

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
Hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
Hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here
I'm counting down the days

I'm counting down the days
I'm counting down the days

I'm gonna be your surprise
I'm gonna hold you so tight

Yeah

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
I'd hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here

I wanna travel through time
See your surprise
I'd hold you so tight
I'm counting down the days tonight
I just wanna be a million miles away from here
A million miles away from here

I'm counting down the days when you'll be back in SG once again. From then on, we will not be separated again for long periods of time. We've have got so much to do, so much to say to each other. I miss you so much and i can't wait to spend my lifetime with you by my side.
I love you lots Kelvin, come back soon.....

1st Day at Work

Reached the new place at 7.50am! Bright and early on a Friday morning.
Met the HR personnel and we went into the meeting room where she has a checklist of things for me to fill up and to brief. I lost count of the number of times i had to write my name and IC No. Really so many forms. I think around 7 times?

She then brought me to the dept where i was gonna be.
Met with the director who brought me around the various departments and introduced me to the colleagues.
At that instance, my mind drifted to the all familiar scenario in ST where i was also brought around the company on my first day too.

Well, during those introductions, i remember faces and vaguely remember their names. Oh well, just gimme time and i soon will. One thing that struck me as i was going around was that majority of them were all middle-aged in their 40s and 50s.
(Later on, i was told that most of them stayed for 20+ years.)

I was then brought to my workstation.
My workstation tucked away in a corner with a LCD monitor, my own printer, and Best of it all- PRIVACY. *Bliss*
I then looked through the files on Budget, the in-house newsletter, annual report. So much to digest.

Indeed working in the govt sector and private sector is so different. Systematic workflow. Lotsa meetings. Distinguishing traces of the various postions which was apparant in the type of office furniture given and the dividers between workstations.

Lunch was alright. The people there seemed nice.
I hope the new job is going to be just fine and smooth-sailing.

I still miss the company of the gals of ST.
Thanks for the meal and drink treat on my last day. It was great hanging out with you gals.
Talk to you gals on MSN!
Update me on ST happenings ya!
